The SB-5588 is a high performance 8 input, 8 output Component Video + Digital and Analog Audio Matrix Switcher with RS-232. It is capable of switching Component Video, Digital Coaxial (S/PDIF) and Stereo Analog (R/L) Audio signals between 8 sources and 8 displays. A maximum bandwidth of 325MHz will support a sharp and highly defined video in multiple resolutions up to 1080p. Because it is a matrix switcher, it allows any input to be routed to any output, or the same input to be routed to all outputs, or any combination. It completely eliminates the need to constantly move around video cables.

Control is by manual front-panel pushbuttons with LED readout, or the included infrared IR remote. There is also a RS-232 control port, allowing the switcher to be controlled by a computerized system such as Hyper Terminal, eliminating the need to use a remote. Compatible with all devices that have Component Video and Digital or Analog R/L audio connections, such as cable/satellite receivers, computers, video scalers, DVD players, VCR's, camcorders, video game consoles, etc.
